From Sunday 21 February, 2021 to Wednesday 24 February, 2021, a delegation of the GDDIA, headed by the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), visited the International Defence Exhibition «IDEX – NAVDEX 2021», following an invitation from the United Arab Emirates.
In the above Exhibition, our country participated with a National Pavilion, under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense, in which the following Hellenic Defence Industry companies participated, in alphabetical order as bellow: “Barracuda”, “EFA VENTURES”, “Hellenic Aviation Industry (HAI)”, “INTRACOM DEFENCE ELECTRONICS (IDE)”, “MILTECH HELLAS SA” and “SCYTALIS”.
On Sunday 21 February 2021 and Monday 22 February 2021, the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), accompanying the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, accompanied, attended the Opening of the International Defence Exhibition «IDEX – NAVDEX 2021». He visited the Hellenic Pavilion and the stands of Hellenic Defence Industry companies, which participated in the International Defence Exhibition «IDEX – NAVDEX 2021».
On Tuesday 23 February , 2021, the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF) held:
a. Meeting with the Assistant Undersecretary For Support and Defence Industies, Staff Major General PHD, Mubarak Saeed Al Jabri, during which, issues of common interest were discussed and views were exchanged. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and trust, confirming the mutual willingness, for further development, of the military cooperation of the two countries.
b. Visits to stands of Defense companies, which participated in the International Defence Exhibition “IDEX – NAVDEX 2021”,
Finally, during the International Defence Exhibition «IDEX – NAVDEX 2021», all the necessary precautionary measures were taken against the dispersal of COVID-19.
