Jurisdiction and Layout of the DIR
According to Presidential Decree No 73 (Νο Government Gazette 76, Issue A / 10 April 2006) Article 14, the department reports directly to the General Director, considers, recommends and handles issues related to armaments cooperation with international organizations and third countries in the context of technology acquisition – expertise, promotion of defense material exports, transfer control of defense and dual-use materiel (imports, re-imports, transports, transits, exports, re-exports) and issues the required certificates for the transfer. This department reports directly to the General Director.
