From Sunday 28 March 2021 to Monday 29 March 2021 General Director of the GDDIA Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), visited the premises of Dassault Aviation in Paris, at the invitation of company.
The purpose of the visit was the General Director of the GDDIA was to present the progress of the RAFALE program.
On Sunday, March 28, 2021, the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), upon invitation of the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to France, Mrs. Aglaia Balta, at the Saint Stephen’s Cathedral, where the National Day of the Revolution of 1821 was celebrated with brilliance.
At the end of the event, a meeting was held between General Director of the GDDIA and the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in France, at the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Paris, during which, issues of common interest were discussed in the context of Greece-France bilateral relations, on issues of defence industry and cooperation.
On Monday, March 29, 2021, the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF):
a. Visited 118 Mont-de-Marsan Base “Aerienne 118 Military Base”.
b. He was informed about the progress of the RAFALE program.
c. Participated in a test flight with a RAFALE fighter.
d. He held a meeting and discussed with the personnel of the Hellenic Air Force who are trained in the new RAFALE fighter.
e. He met with the Senior Vice President – Military Export Contracts of Dassault Aviation Company, Mr. Stéphane Cianfarani, during which issues of common interest were discussed.
f. He met with the Senior Executive Vice-President International of Dassault Aviation Company, Mr. Richard Lavaud, during which issues of common interest were discussed.
g. He met with the CEO of Dassault Aviation, Mr. Éric Trappier, at the company’s headquarters in Paris, during which issues of common interest were discussed and views exchanged. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and trust, confirming the mutual willingness, for further development, of the cooperation of the two countries in the field of defence industry.
It is worth noting that during the visit to France, all the necessary precautionary measures and dispersal against COVID – 19 were fully observed and all the necessary COVID-TESTS were performed.
