From Sunday 23 August 20 to Thurday 27 August 20, a delegation of the GDDIA, headed by the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF) visited International Military-Technical Forum “ARMYA 2020”, in Moscow, following an invitation from the Russian side.
During the visit, a tour of the stands of defense companies, which participated in the International Military-Technical Forum «ARMYA 2020», took place.
On Sunday, 23 August 20, a meeting was held between the General Director of GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), with the Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia, Mr. Dmitriy E. SHUGAEV
On Monday, 24 August, 20, the General Manager of GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), during the tour of the International Military – Technical Forum, met with the General Manager of Rosoboronexport, Mr. Alexander.
On Tuesday, 25 August 20 a lunch was served at the Embassy of Greece in Moscow, between the Greek Ambassador to Moscow, Mrs. Ekaterini Nassika and the General Director of GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), where views were exchanged concern the development of bilateral cooperation with Russia, especially in the field of Defence industry, as well as the results of the meetings at the International Military-Technical Forum “ARMYA 2020”
On Wednesday, 26 August, 20, the General Director of GDDIA, ,Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), met with the Deputy Minister of Defence and Secretary of Defense Products of the Ministry of Defense of Brazil, Mr. Marcos DEGAUT, Ph.D. and issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
On Wednesday, 26 August 20, the General Director of GDDIA, ,Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF) met with the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, in charge of International Relations, Colonel General Alexander FOMIN. The two sides discussed issues of bilateral co-operation and exchanged views on current regional security issues. The meeting took place, in an atmosphere of friendship and trust, confirming the mutual willingness for further development, of Greek-Russian military cooperation.
Finally, during the International Military-Technical Forum «ARMYA 2020», all the necessary precautionary measures were taken against the dispersal of COVID-19.
