From Wednesday 30 September 2020 to Friday 02 September 20, a delegation of the GDDIA, headed by the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF) visited at the International Exhibition of Defence Industry «HEMUS 2020» in Plovdiv, in Bulgaria, following an invitation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria.
During the visit, the Greek delegation was guided by the escort officer appointed by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria, to stands of defence companies, which participated in the International Exhibition of Defence Industry «HEMUS 2020».
On Wednesday, September 30th, 2020, the following meetings were held by the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF):
1) With the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria, Lieutenant General Atanas ZAPRYANOV, with whom they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and security.
2) With the Director of the Armaments Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria, Colonel Vladislav SHEKEROV, with whom they exchanged views on the development of bilateral cooperation with Bulgaria, especially in the field of Defence Industry.
On Thursday, October 01st 2020, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Greece in Sofia, between the Greek Ambassador in Sofia, Mr. Dimitrios Chronopoulos and the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF), where views were exchanged concern the development of bilateral cooperation with Bulgaria, especially in the field of defence industry, as well as the results of the meetings at the International Exhibition of Defense Industry «HEMUS 2020».
Finally, during the International Exhibition of Defence Industry «HEMUS 2020», all the necessary precautionary measures were taken against the dispersal of COVID-19.
