On Saturday 20th of February 2021, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, before the International Defence Exhibitions «IDEX – NAVDEX 2021», the International Defence Conference was held, in which the General Director of the GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF) participated as a speaker, following the invitation of the Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of «IDEX 2021».
The International Defence Conference was held under the auspices of His Majesty, Mohammed bin Ahmad Al Bawardi, Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, and was organized by IDEX LLC.
The main theme of the conference was: «The Prosperity and Development of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology and Protection in the ERA of the 4IR» and it was attended by over 30 speakers from 18 countries.
It was conducted in four Thematic Sections as follows:
First Section: «Exploring innovative opportunities in supply – chain ecosystem management beyond Covid – 19 pandemic»
Second Section:«Protecting Artificial Intelligence and other 4th Industrial Revolution Technologies in the Age of Cooperation and Diffusion»
Third Section, in which the General Director of GDDIA, Lieutenant General (rtd) Theodoros Lagios (HAF) participated as a speaker: «Strengthening the Defense industries Research and Development in an increasingly complex dynamic context»
Fourth Section: «A holistic view on Cyber Security Resilience during the era of Digital Transformation»
Finally, during the International Defence Conference, all the necessary precautionary measures were taken against the dispersal of COVID-19.
