For sixth consecutive year, Greece participates with a National Pavilion in the largest, exclusively for the Army, International Defense Exhibition AUSA 2019, which takes place in Washington from October 14-16.
The National Pavilion this year joined by the companies Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI), the Hellenic Defense Systems (HDS), Alpha Systems, INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE), Systems Sunlight SA, Theon Sensors, while the common booth of SEKPY-HASDIG joined by the companies AEL Joint Ventures, AEROSERVICES, ALTUS LSA, MILTECH SA and ROTA SA.
The National Pavilion is co-organized by the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise Greece and is under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense / General Directorate for Defense Investments and Armaments (GDDIA).
The inauguration ceremony was made by the General Director of the GDDIA Vice Admiral (ret.) Kyriakos Kyriakidis,the Greek Ambassador in Washington Mr. Haris Lalakos, the President of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce Mr. Nikos Bakatselos, and from the US side, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Defense Exports and Cooperation (DASA DE&C), Ms. Ann Cataldo, and the Vice President of AUSA Ms. Patricia McQuistion. The ceremony also attended official delegations from other countries and representatives of companies participating in the exhibition.
The AUSA 2019 covers an area of 16,000 sqm and brings together more than 700 exhibitors from80 different countries. The exhibition is expected to attract over 30,000 visitors.
