The International Defense Exhibition AUSA 2019, which takes place in Washington from October 14-16 has been concluded. The Hellenic Defenece Industry took part in the AUSA 2019 with a National Pavilion, which was under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense / General Directorate for Defense Investments and Armaments (MoD/GDDIA) within the frame of the outward-looking actions of the MoD.
During the AUSA 2019 several meetings were held between the GDDIA General Director and his counterparts from other countries and industries, where issues of common interest were discussed.
Chiefs of General Staff as well as members of national delegations of the participating countries were among the visitors of the Hellenic National Pavilion, where they were informed about the capabilities of the Hellenic Defence Industry.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the forthcoming Defence Exhibition Athens DEFEA 2020 was presented to the US companies participated in the AUSA 2019. The setting of the US National Pavilion for the DEFEA 2020 was presented by the Executive Director of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce, Mr. E. Spirtounias, and the representative of the DEFEA 2020 organizer ROTA SA, Mr. V Barkas. The GDDIA General Director Vice Admiral (ret.) Kyriakos Kyriakidis and the president of SEKPY Mr. A. Rozolis addressed the opening remarks for this event.
