On Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 October 2017, the 1st Hellenic – American Joint Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (JISR) Conference was held at the Officers’ Club (LAED) in Athens, under the initiative of the MoND/GDDIA and with the cooperation of the Office for Defence Cooperation (ODC) in Athens.
The meeting was inaugurated by the Alternate Minister of National Defence, Mr Dimitris Vitsas.
From the Greek side, the meeting was attended by the General Director and the Alternate General Director of GDDIA. representatives from the General Staffs (National Defence, Army, Navy, Air) and the two Hellenic Defense Industry associations (HASDIG and SEKPY), while presentations were delivered by the companies AKMON, ALTUS, HAI, IDE, ISI and MILTECH.
From the American side, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Embassy and the ODC, whereas presentations were delivered by the companies Aurora Flight Sciences, Elesia SpA, General Atomics, Summit Aviation, United Industries Aerospace and ViaSat Inc.
