The French-Hellenic Armament Committee took place in Athens in the premises of the Officer’s Club on 10th Oct 2024.
The Hellenic delegation was led by Major General Ioannis BOURAS, Director of the General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments (GDDIA), with the presence of representatives from GDDIA, HNDGS, HAGS, HNGS and HAFGS and the French delegation was led by Lt General (eng) Gael DIAZ DE TUESTA, DGA Director of the International Cooperation & Export Directorate, with the presence of representatives from DGA and the French Embassy in Athens
A number of topics of mutual interest were discussed and both sides expressed their determination to enhance current cooperation in the field of armament as well as to develop new areas of cooperation. During the meeting presentations from the French Industry regarding defence equipment for capabilities in the fields of air defence, land vehicles and naval assets were received.
