New Year’s Aniversary for Greek Defence Industrys

On Wednesday, January 11, with the care of GDDIA held at Officers Club Armed Forces (LAED) the established traditional “New Year’s pie” cutting for domestic defense industry, by the person responsible for this, Alternate Minister of Defence Mr. Dimitrios Vitsas. The ceremony was attended by the Presidents and Directors of the two Syndicates  of Defence Industry (HASDIG and SEKPY) and a large number of their members. Before  cutting the pie  the Alternate Minister highlighted the continuous efforts of the state to promote the defense industry mainly in international markets as well as in legislative initiatives and adoption of institutional instruments for improving the overall defense procurement system  and  the overall  adaptation of the Defence Industry, to the requirements of  international organizations  to achieve  participation in their programs. The Minister also  pointed out that it is imperative that this effort be intensified even more this year.
