The Ministry of National Defence organizes the 1st Competition for Innovation and Technology in the field of Defence “Defence Innovation Challenge”, with the theme: “Situational Awareness Innovation”.
The Competition aims to highlight, promote and reward innovative ideas that will give a competitive advantage in the field of Defence, while supporting the Armed Forces.
The following can participate in the competition:
a. Any natural person of Greek Citizenship, eighteen (18) years and over at the expiration date of the deadline for submission of proposals, who is a legal and permanent resident of Greece and is:
(1) Active permanent military and civilian personnel of the Armed Forces.
(2) Scientific staff and students of the Higher Academic (HEIs, HMEIs and HMSs) and Research Institutions of the country.
(3) Staff of small and medium enterprises or/and start-up companies of the country with activity in technology and innovation.
b. The Academic and Research Institutions of the country.
c. Small and medium enterprises of the country with activity in technology and innovation.
Cash prizes are provided for the winners, which will be awarded at a special event. All participants will have opportunities to interact, find common points of interest and exchange ideas, both with executives from the Domestic Defense Industry, as well as with representatives of research centers and independent researchers.
Participation in the competition is possible either by submitting a proposal in the tender process, or by supporting the action (participation as an expert, supporting the proposal evaluation committee, team mentor, communication sponsor, sponsor, data and technology provider, etc.) at the link “https://defenceinnovation.gr”.
