Ceremony at GDDIA premises regarding the Award of ISO 9001:2015 Certificate to the Department of Codification of GDDIA/OB&QAD

On 22th of December 2016 a ceremony was held at GDDIA regarding the award of the Quality Management System Certificate according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard from the certification body Bureau Veritas (French Classification Society) in the scope of “coding services for defense material, services and companies according to NATO”.
On behalf of Bureau Veritas the ceremony was attended by Nickolaos Trilizas, Industry & Facilities General Manager, Bureau Veritas Hellas A.E.
The certification of GDDIA’s Quality Management System assures the commitment of the Management in providing high professional services in cooperation with companies and organizations of the defence sector.
For the first time ever a department of GDDIA has been awarded with a certificate according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard whereas the next goal is the certification of all the departments and directories.
The preparation and the establishment of the quality system have been made by GDDIA’s personnel, without the involvement of external consultants. As a result, the certification cost was minimized, to the benefit of the Ministry.
